about me

I didn't know what I was going to be when I grew up. I was not a kid that picked up a camera and knew that it was exactly what I wanted to do. When I was younger I played softball and soccer, I tried horseback riding and I took french. I was experimental.

What I did stick with, however, was art classes. My need to try new things was fed by playing with new mediums and different types of styles. I adored oils and watercolour and inks, and I loved testing myself with a new concept or a subject I'd never even attempted to draw before.

Even after 10 years of painting and drawing and loving art in general, I still knew it wouldn't be something I wanted to make a career. I went to NSCC with still only a vague idea in mind.. at first I thought I wanted to be a designer! It wasn't until a few weeks into my first year in college that I knew photography was where I wanted to focus, and it has been amazing so far.

I love that with photography I get to continue trying new things. I get to meet new people and collaborate with other creatives. I love that I love my job, and I want you to know that it will show through when I'm in a shoot. I can't imagine being anything else. I'm so thankful that my job is to create trust between myself and the people that I work with, and so happy that those people are just as excited to be there.

So now you know where I came from, but who am I?

I'm a 21 year old artist. I have blue hair and tattoos scattered across my body. I'm friendly and outgoing, and travelling is my favourite thing to do. I spend any time I'm not making photos watching re-runs of FRIENDS, I'm obsessed with my cat, I drink more coffee than water, and I hope to be your future photographer.
