Sometimes pushing yourself out of a self-created comfort zone is exactly what you need to get the creative juices flowing.
Typically I work with a lot of females, so it comes easy to me when working with new models or new clients even if they're relatively fresh in front of the camera. When I work with men it can be a little more difficult.
Obviously I know how to pose men and how to make people comfortable in front of the camera, but to be honest I had a little bit of self doubt when I got an inquiry from Kyle. I'm so happy we worked together though! Fearing that we're not good enough or that we won't be able to make our best work is part of being a creative and part of the comparison game that we play on social media, but we can't let that stop us from taking on new clients or new work that we aren't used to shooting.
Kyle was amazing in front of the camera and even more so in the water. The day we went out to shoot was NOT warm, but he got in anyway to make the images we both had in mind!
Thanks so much Kyle!
